PLEASE READ: Regarding "Documental de viaje de Vision"
Hey all - Wenn here, website admin.
I would like to share a true update regarding a particular post on this website, "Documental de viaje de Vision". Obviously, this post has been getting lots of traction somehow on a site that's been basically dead for five years, and I want to address the world about what is going on.
Apparently, many are saying that the video contains a certain song, that is apparently unknown, lost media or whatever terminology they use these days, said song is from the 1980s or 90s apparently. I did my research after being baffled after being bombarded by Wix notifications that people have commented on a website that I've practically forgotten about for many years (people were mass commenting on this post), and I've found that this fanfare is about a song named "Ulterior Motives" or "Everyone Knows That" that is presumably unknown. This song apparently gained traction in year 2021, when a user named "carl92" had uploaded a 17-second segment of the song to a website named "WatZatSong", the song was apparently from a TV recording made back in 1999. Some have speculated on the Internet that the TV recording carl92 recorded the song in 1999 is on this website, the video "Documental de viaje de Vision". Apparently some individuals on TikTok went viral after posting the clip from my site, now there is a flood of people from all over the world flocking here to see if they can find this lost song on my website, that in the video's description is titled: Mia Mchullah - Tell Me the Truth. In the next paragraph, I will give you some background info.
"Documental de viaje de Vision" (translated Travel documentary of Vision in English), was a television documentary that aired in Spain in 1999, on a
now-defunct TV channel known as Vision (not to be confused with Univision). The documentary focused on travel around the world, what's its like to visit certain countries around the world, the culture, things to do, famous places, etc. Now I am going to try to remember everything I can about the documentary, so bear with me. I remember watching the full documentary back in 1999, on an old CRT TV, and besides that famous snippet everyone is going crazy about, that specific documentary showed famous places France, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Australia, Greece, London UK, and New York USA. For each of the places, there would be a specific music track that was used. One of the music tracks I remember being in the documentary was Billy Idol's "Eyes Without a Face" - I think this was during a part which showed the World Trade Center in New York. Another music track I vividly remember being in the show was "Boule de flipper" by French artist Corynne Charby - this was definitely during a segment where they showed the Louvre Museum in Paris. I do not remember the other parts of the documentary, except the famous "Ulterior Motives" segment, but I do remember they showed the Concorde in flight over the ocean at some point. I also remember they did show famous locations in the countries I listed earlier that I did not mention, but don't remember the songs used in each of those segments (besides the one in Paris and New York).
In the Ulterior Motives segment, let's just call this the UMS for the ease of identification. The UMS was taken at beach, possibly in Hawaii or in the Caribbean, I do not think they mentioned the actual country in the documentary, but I could be wrong. The segment went for the length of the entire song, not just 17 seconds. It included shots of people kissing on the beach, and what looks like to be people enjoying themselves at a swimming pool. I think the UMS was taken at some beach resort, not only did I see a swimming pool, but I saw what appeared to be buildings - buildings where people would stay in said resort. The picture quality back in the 90s was horrendous unlike what we have today with 4K resolution, so you couldn't really make out fine details, especially on a CRT TV. There were palm trees shown at one point, a guy shirtless drinking out of a coconut, and two kids playing volleyball. Then you get to the part that's publically shown on the website. It was on another beach this time, most likely near the same geographical location of the previous beach, based on the trees. Anyways, this where we see what appears to be a guy chilling on one of those beach chairs, then some dude grabbing a rake, then the camera zooming into a nearby ship, then moving to the left to capture people swimming in the water, then we the camera zoom into this mysterious guy waiving these weird flag-like things, then more people swimming in the water, and then a pan to the right to reveal more of the beach. At this point, this is where the segemnt that is publically available in this website ends. After this part, the documentary showed the mysterious guy previously mentioned handing out flyers for something, not sure for what. There was also a brief moment where it showed some women getting their hair done on the beach, and then a shot back to the beach resort where it showed a night party going on, as well as a dinner service. For the whole UMS, that's all I remember. There was some narration in the UMS, not in the publically available UMS, but in the beginning of it and towards the end of it.
I remember the documentary lasting about an hour long, there were a few commercial breaks in some of the other segments, but none during the UMS. I only remember one commercial, this was a Motorola commercial, advertising a pocket phone. Since I remembered the exact commercial, I tried searching for it on YouTube, for a little while, then I finally found the exact one I saw that day. I'll link it here. Anyways, I will give you some insight on how I rediscovered the UMS after watching the document.
Let me give you some background on the UMS song:
This song, Ulterior Motives, or what is now dubbed as "Tell me The Truth", I remember it with a special place in my heart. This song played during my high school prom back in 1993. It was my first date out with a women at the time, during my senior year before we were all going to go to college and start a new phase in our lives. I know the lyrics, beat, and rhythm of the song because I've listened to it so many times since then, the dance I had with her was the first time I danced with a girl in my life! All my life I've been alone, with no significant others, bullied at school, being doubted my worth, all throughout my life until now, It was truly a sentimental moment at the time, I truly felt like I finally had a place in the world! So eventually, my girl gave me this song on a cassette tape for my 18th birthday, and boy was I cranking that shit up every day! I think I wore out the tape strip, because eventually the sound quality started to deteriorate, but I didn't care. This song meant everything I had for me. Turns out the song in question was made by my girlfriend's best friend, who's first name was Mia, and last name was Mchullah. We all went to a high school in eastern Oregon, then I moved to Spain for College, I went to the Universitat de Barcelona a huge research university in Spain, I was majoring in biology. Anyways, at our high school, my girlfriend at the time was very popular. Practically the whole school knew her, and she dated every boy in the school, and then she dated me. Her best friend Mia Mchullah made Tell Me the Truth aka Ulterior Motives, she formed her own little private band with other friends and recorded the song in her parent's basement, this is according to my girlfriend from the time. The song is not what anyone here thinks its about, it's about a girl who received lots of heartbreaks from a man, because Mia, and I remember this, was into dating all four years of high school, went through many breakups, and felt the need to condense all of these feelings of heartbreak and hardship into one song. So she made "Tell Me the Truth". It's about a specific relationship she had with her crush, who was named Adam, who often lied to her during the relationship. For example, Adam lied to Mia not cheating on Mia, but was then found out that Adam did in fact have another relationship with another girl other than Mia. This obviously made Mia very upset, and inspired her to write the song.
This song was very special, because my girlfriend who gave me this song actually cheated on me right before high school graduation! What a scumbag! Since that point, I've related heavily to this song, because I wanted my girlfriend to tell me the truth about her cheating on me or not but she wouldn't! Sigh, I still regret dating the "popular girl" in high school because of that. Anyways, I still associate the song with me finally getting the balls to dance with a girl in high school prom! So, over the years I've listened to this song heavily, it was never released to the public or via a record level. The only trace of this song existing was this one cassette tape, because although Mia had more tapes of her song, her house burned down later that same year in 1993, one month before I had moved to Spain, destroying everything inside of it, and she never gave tapes to any of her other friends, just to my girlfriend. I was the only one in the entire world who had access to the song at that point. After graduating from my college program in Spain, this special tape I had of Tell Me The Truth, finally gave out. Boy was I so devasted. All the rich history that went into the song, and the effort that went into the song, vanished in an instant. I was devasted. No more Tell Me The Truth :( it was over, the tape gave out because I dropped it in a lake while hiking, and that was pretty much wraps for this song. I think the lake was Sanabria Lake, anyone wanna try to recover it? Lol. Anyways,
Fast forward to 2003, I wanted to see if the song had been archived on the newly created Internet, so i searched and searched until i found a site called Newgrounds. There was a video. It was from that documentary that I previously covered, the UMS. It was that exact segment, that you can see on this website. Only the 17 second segment. "Oh my God! I found it!" I thought, so I downloaded the video, and the nostalgia hit from when I watched that documentary back in 1999. I saved the video.
It's now 2019. I now had a entirely different and new computer, but wanted to dig out the old iMac i used back in 03' to see some old files. I got the computer, booted it on, then was met with a message that the hard drive was almost done for. So i quickly connected the old hard drive to the other computer and preceded to downloaded every file. Now the video file was on my new computer.
Early 2019 - I made this website to test out how to upload a website to a private website to publish my genetic engineering studies for my company, I chose Wix worked, because I needed to make my own site to post some original genetic engineering bullcrap for my company. So I just posted some random video files that I gathered from my computer and phone, just to see how the Wix platform worked. And I saw that Wix was a perfect place for me to post my biological studies with zero issues, I posted a video of me playing Fortnite (lol) as well as the UMS. I put the name of the song in the description of the video, to hopefully see if anyone can identify a full version of it online. At this point I was grown out of it, I had more important things in my life other than a stupid song. I'm also now married with a proper wife and have 3 kids, so my life is stable now. Oh my god my brain is getting tired from typing all of this. Anyways, I did my tests on here, then abandoned the site since I didn't need it anymore, I made the proper video website for my company myself with the computer science education my job gave me in order to accomplish this task.
So yeah, this website was basically just to test out video uploading capabilities within Wix back in 2019, and the "Connectionshub" there was there because that was my original plan for the name of the site, because our whole company was going to use it, and "connect" with each other and post videos about our studies and research. We work with DNA, RNA, and genetic experiments with rats and being able to treat genetic diseases that may arise during development in the womb such as cystic fibrosis or Down Syndrome before the fetus is born.
Now I have abandoned the site, and only came back today in 2024, because I have been receiving many notifications on my old Wix app on this old site about the song.
Oh yeah, i forgot to mention that I have basically lost all contact with Mia and my old ex girlfriend from back then, I moved across the world at a time where cellphones weren't as widely popular as they are nowadays. Mia and Jenna (that was the name of my gf back then), if you're reading this, please contact me at wennharding1237@yahoo.com, I really want to speak with you guys. I miss you guys :(
Mia got her song on the documentary because she was an intern at Vision, the Spanish network, so they paid her to put her beautiful song on the UMS in the documentary. Oh, and the "Documental de viaje de Vision" text was present in the top left corner of the whole documentary, if this makes the search in the community more easier.
Thank you for reading, and I hope one day someone finds the full song before I die.
-Salutations.
Wenn
Oh, and here's the Lyrics for the song, I'm sure I remember most of them:
Mia Mchullah - Tell Me the Truth (1993)
Yeah Yeah Yeah,
Oh Yeah, oh yeah
Gonna get any better?
I see you got somethin' hidin in yo head
Gotta make sure you ain't being in my mind
Lying as always (tell me the truth)
I know you got a motive
A particular motive
To be dishonest as always and destroy our part
Going to say goodbye if you wanna be ulterior
Because that's the way i am going to be runnin' with you
And
You're counting all the shifts in the sky
Caught up in a world of lies
Everyone knows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (tell me the truth)
Every move shows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (its not what you mean)
Every day
I have to do it for you
Cheating on that chemistry test, kissing like there's no tommrow
I wanna see the same from you
Do we got that same chemistry, chemistry?
I honestly want to know what we will do together
Because then we will have no more problems, problems,
Because you're counting all the shifts in the sky
And caught up in a world of lies
Everyone knows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (tell me the truth)
Every move shows that (you've got)
Ulterior morives (its not want you mean)
Oh, Oh, uh uh
Baby, Baby
You're so ulterior, ulterior,
I just want to be your baby right now
But you're so ulterior, ulterior
Baby
We can do so many fun things in this life, in this life,
If you would not be so ulterior
I just wanna know the truth
What has gotten into you
because we can fix together
please baby
come back
right
now.
Ulterior, Ulterior, motives motives
Ulterior Ulterior, motives motives
Tell me the truth, baby, baby
lies, lies lies lies, world of lies
Baby,
Everyone knows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (tell me the truth)
Every move shows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (oh baby)
Everyone knows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (tell me the truth)
Every move shows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (oh baby)
Everyone knows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (tell me the truth)
Every move shows that (you've got)
Ulterior motives (tell me the truth)
